Marine Alert has been developed for the significant number of users of Australian waters to improve and promote the conservation, sustainability and recreational use of; and accessibility to Australia’s Commonwealth-based Marine Parks. Marine Alert will proactively notify users when they are approaching Marine Parks within a certain distance (i.e. 1km, 500m, 100m), or when they are within a Marine Park itself; via smart device technology (embedded GPS/alerting). Marine Alert will also inform its users of the relevant rules and regulations associated with Marine Parks.

With the ever increasing number of Australians using Marine Parks recreationally, and the dramatic increase in the take-up of Smart Device technology, Marine Alert aims to be the tool of choice for recreational fisherman, divers and boaters whilst participating in water-based activity. Specifically:

- Marine Alert aims to create an enhanced awareness, and to further educate users of Australia’s Commonwealth-based in the conservation, sustainability and accessibility to these areas for generations to come; via Smart Device technology.
- MarineAlert aims to continue to advocate and develop the health and lifestyle benefits of the recreational use of Australia’s Commonwealth-based Marine Parks by using Smart Device technology.
- Marine Alert aims to assist in increasing compliance with Australia’s Commonwealth-based Marine Parks rule and regulations.
- MarineAlert aims to further enable the recreational users of Australia’s Commonwealth-based Marine Parks.
